Shine and Rise!
Our outing on Friday’s Valentine Day was postponed due to bad weather and a tractor-trailer rollover on route 31.
Instead, we went out on Presidents’ Day to the Park and Ride lot off route 31 to pass out free coffee. Starting at 6:30 AM, we met five (5) commuter buses and handed out hot coffee to many passengers as they boarded the CT Express bus.
Along with the coffee was a packet with sugar, creamers, Valentine candy and a Showing God’s Love calling card with our church information. It was a good outing, but cold at 11 degrees.
We plan to try a different outreach in April.
