Children’s Sunday School

RUMC offers Christian education for children age 3 and up each Sunday from September through June, and a combined summer Sunday school in July and August.

2017-2018 Teachers and Curriculum:

3yrs-kindergarten– Brenda and Jim Mlodzinski.
Curriculum is a combination of “Top 50 Bible Lessons for Preschoolers – Ages 2-5 and Answers Bible Curriculum Year 1 Quarter 1 Pre-K & K Extra Take Home Sheets”

1st-4th gradesWe are working on recruiting teachers for this class. If you are interested,  please speak with Linda Shivers- with any questions or information you might need.
Curriculum is “Top 50 Bible Lessons for Elementary Students”

5th-7th grade– Amy Valesquez, Mel Bacha.
Curriculum is “Youth On Mission: By All Means” and “Love Out Loud.”

8th –high school– Bridget Joy, Michelle Gerow, & David Saunders.
Curriculum is LinC, Living    in Christ-   helps preteens and  teens examine faith and life issues using the latest music, movies,  news, current events and engaging in Bible stories

Children’s Bells– Jacob Gerow –teacher- ages 3yrs-4th gr.
Practice first Sunday of the month after Communion.


2017-2018 Confirmation Class:
Confirmation class is being offered to youth in grades 7th and older who would like to learn more about how to personally build on their faith which began in Baptism and was nourished through the years with Sunday school. Confirmation is your decision to complete a more in- depth process of initiation into the Christian community and gives you the tools for the work ahead. Confirmation is not the end of your faith and spiritual journey; it is the beginning of your responsibility into this journey. Classes will be one Sunday morning a month after church. If you are interested in attending confirmation class please notify the church office so we can contact you with the schedule.

Our Sunday school children did extra chores around the house to raise $63.25 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the 2015-2016 school year.
