Monday 6-26-2017 Hockanum Valley Food Pantry
Leah C.
Today we went to a food pantry. We stocked shelves, put cat food in bags, and made snack bags for kids. We made about 600 snack bags! In the snack bags we put fruit snacks, apple sause or pudding, raisins, and milk or juice. I worked on the snack bags the whole time with Sarah, Natalie, and Avery. Everyone else did catfood and stocked shelves. Then, we all took a picture with Bill and the other workers. Last, we all went to Cumberland Farms and got Slushies! Also, Don is the best leader! (He told us to do it!)

Today we went to the YMCA. We played with the children and read to them. We played outside on the equitment and they liked to pretend we were criminals and lock us up in the “jail.” Some of the kids weren’t used to new kids so these kids were more shy. But some of the kids imediantly latched onto us and wanted to play.

Today we went to the YMCA to play with little kids. I played with a LOT of them! But I only remember 4 Coribeth, Hayley, Vera and Madalyn. Some kids were a little shy and some were NOT shay at all. When we played outside all the kids would grab us by the wrists and told us we were going to jail! They put us in a fake house and to get out we had to escape or get a friend to rescue! It was a energetically-adorable day!
Sarah H.
